If you're familiar with the basics of traditional Chinese Mahjong, please join us for a fun evening of open play! This open play will be ran by Randy Dang and his wife Irene.
Randy Dang has been playing Traditional Chinese Mahjong with his family since he was 8 or 9 years old. Fast-forward 40 years, and suddenly Mahjong is everywhere!
Encouraged by his wife, Irene, Randy decided to share his knowledge of the original version of this timeless tile game with the community. By nature, Randy is a natural teacher and coach. He is a technical sales trainer who loves teaching, coaching, and sharing what he knows. When he’s not traveling for work, you’ll often find him on the pickleball courts, playing and coaching their son. He also enjoys helping out with the La Grange Babe Ruth baseball team.
His teaching career officially began when he was “voluntold” to host a Traditional Chinese Mahjong class at the beloved La Grange Park Library.
And that’s how Tiles & Dang Luck began—a husband-and-wife adventure built around sharing a timeless cultural tile game with the community, bringing people together, and having a little fun along the way!
